I stayed at the Sharanagati Yogahaus for two weeks, in March 2019. It’s a super-chilled, peaceful place, run by the wonderful Hari. The accommodation is great. I had a lovely big bedroom, my own bathroom, balcony and a view of the gardens and yoga hall. We practised 2 hours of meditation and yoga in the mornings and 1.5 hours of yoga in the afternoons. The style of yoga is Sivananda, combining sun salutations, deep stretching and breathwork. My flexibility and strength really improved during my stay and my mind calmed and cleared considerably. The breakfast and lunch included every day was exceptional Southern Indian cooking, by the gorgeous Sheba and for dinner I walked to Varkala Cliff for more delicious and very reasonably priced food. Leaving Sharanagati felt like leaving family. I really bonded with the other guests there. It’s a very special place and Hari is a very kind soul with some great knowledge. I hope to go back 😊

Myself and my boyfriend stayed at the yogahaus for 5 nights and it couldn't have been more relaxing. The rooms were charming, the food was delicious, the staff were wonderful and the yoga was just what we needed. We will definitely return next time we're in Kerala!

I spent 5 days with Hari and his team at Sharangati Yogahaus at the end of my India travels. Hari was very welcoming and I settled in quickly to the routine. The atmosphere is serene and tranquil, a perfect place to relax. There was the right amount of yoga and meditation and enough freedom to explore Varkala and not so much pressure if you happen to miss a class. It was great for all levels and you were able to advance if you wanted too. I came away feeling very relaxed and will definitely be returning :)

Sharangati yogahaus is a oasis of calm in the chaos of India. Hari and his 100% indian team provided to us everything we need to recharge pur batteries. The food is vegetarian and extremely good cooked by two lovely Indian women, the rooms are simple but really clean and silent. Hari settle the place in a wonderful way with a open yoga room in the middle of the luxurious vegetation. We did 10 days of pranaiama amd hata yoga well divided during the hours of the day, always guided by Hari who has a special gift for learning and helping people to slow down from our too fast lives. Everything at 150 meters from the ocean. Me and my girlfriend loved Sharangati and we will absolutely come back. Recommended!!!!!

Hari's place is an oasis of tranquility with likeminded people. The new yoga hall was fantastic, and a truly special and unique place to be with the sounds of nature all around . Hari is truly gifted as a yoga an meditation teacher, and a wonderful welcoming host. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the stairs and living area very clean too. The staff were very kind and considerate, and cooked the most delicious vegetarian breakfasts and lunch. Mosques a bit noisy at 5am but other than that the noise was ok. I loved meeting the other guests staying here and we all made friends and ate out together in the evenings - it was really lovely. During this week my body and spirit healed, I found new flexibility in body and mind. Sivianda is a wonderful meditative style of yoga for beginners or experienced yogis alike. Hari is very intuitive to this, giving extra one on one classes with absolute beginners, yet at the same time allowing me to perform sun salutations in my established astanga vinyasa style. Last note was that it was bliss to be without phone!

I was very pleased to find a yoga retreat where the meditation and pranayama was taken seriously and it was great to be able to practice all three together properly for the first time. Also only people staying there are allowed to take part in the classes, there are no drop ins which really helps create a special energy about the place. Thankyou Hari and your team for a great expereince.

We stayed 13 people from Sweden at this beautiful place. The garden is so nice and quiet. Sheeba is cooking amazing food for us and all people who is working there are very friendly. But most of all everybody just loved Hari. His wise talking just hit our hearts. Will highly recommend this place. This is my fourth time and I will keep on coming.

I spent 2 weeks here and it was amazing. Hari is the funniest and kindest man who gives great advice and has a good life philosophy. If and when I return to India I will visit Hari again! The food is incredible, by far the best food I had in India and the accommodation is lovely!

What a wonderful place it is the Sharanagati yogahaus. My first stop in India and I stayed for 1 week. I was so impressed by this delightful non commercial yoga retreat that I came back and spent another 6 days before my departure back to Australia. Hari is friendly and genuine. He's down to earth. What you see is what you get as well as extras for he always seems to say the right thing at the right time. Very insightful and inspirational. His staff are also friendly, welcoming and diligent. I found the yoga just right. Asanas, stretching and relaxation for the whole body. The days are structured well. Morning pranayama, meditation and sivananda yoga followed by yummy healthy breakfast and delicious homestyle Kerala lunch. Relax and enjoy free time then more yoga in the afternoon. Comfortable quiet rooms with a balcony and mosquito nets. The grounds are very private. Gorgeous jungle Tropical garden with so many species of wild life. Perfect if you want to relax, immerse yourself in yoga, have time to yourself and let go of all the usual daily responsibilities. I highly recommend Sharanagati Yogahaus. I had a wonderful experience and look forward to returning. Thank you so much Hari and staff. See you next time.
